Room 22 week 1.
This has been a fantastic week. I have started to get to know all the awesome people that make up room 22 this year. We have sorted out class jobs, made a class treaty and decided how we want our class to look, sound and feel like this year. We have begun to learn class routines, get our stationary and read the City of Ember. We have been swimming, learned how to play dodgeball and begun to work on our personal crests. We have also written some acrostic poetry and helped our buddies in room 7 to write some too! I have started doing a little bit of testing to find out just how talented everyone is:)
This week I have learned lots of interesting facts about people in room 22 and I have particularly enjoyed the marvellous manners they all have.
The highlight of my week has been teaching acrostic poetry and seeing the class teach the 5 year olds in room 7 what they had learned.
I am looking forward to another fab week next week and teaching the class bloggers how to use the blog. I am also looking forward to meeting parents on Tuesday, seeing the wonderfully creative personal crests and finding out what kind of learner everyone is.....!!
**Remember to bring togs tues & fri for class swimming or everyday if you want to do flipperball or swim team.
**Remember to bring stationary and spelling/homework books if you took them home :) - there might be bird bucks!!
Wishing everyone a safe and fun long weekend

This is a great newsy blog about room 22. Love it that you are doing talent testing on the whole class! from George M's parents.
ReplyDeleteThanks for keeping us all up to date with what is happening in the class. Now instead of asking 'what have you been doing at school this week?' - 'not much!' - we can ask more direct questions!
